Curitiba inaugurated in February 2012 its first museum aimed at preserving the memory of the Holocaust.

The Holocaust Museum strives to be a site of not just historical register, but also education and of bringing awareness to the new generations on the dangers of intolerance.

Founder of the museum: Miguel Krigsner (also president of the Beit Yaacov Culture House).

It will run an educational program to work with schools.
It receives students and guided tours of people.

The Holocaust Museum in Curitiba shows images, documents from before, during and after World War II, and information regarding the period between 1939 and 1945.

Visitors will also be able to receive information regarding the arrival of the first Jewish families into Parana, as well as survivor's testimonies filmed by Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation.

All the information is stored in interactive computers from where it is possible to access documents and audiovisual digital files. Within the exhibition, there is a fragment of a Torah Scroll, given by Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum of Jerusalem.
