Community life: Currently around 50-60 families live in the cities of Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula and around 20 individuals are its 'floating population' (diplomats, peace core, foreign missions, etc.) present in the country.

The Hebrew Community of Tegucigalpa gathers every Friday in the Shevet Ajim Synagogue, where all major holidays in Jewish life take place.

The Synagogue was re-opened on 24 August 2003, after its complete destruction by Hurricane Mitch in 1998.
